Quality built into every step
Consistent quality is the result of careful supplier selection, clear specifications and close follow-up of every shipment — from origin to delivery.
Quality assurance, the practical way
As an importer and wholesaler, our role is to make sure the product that arrives is the product that was agreed. We do that by choosing suppliers carefully, specifying clearly and following each order closely.
When something deviates, we communicate openly and work with both supplier and customer towards a solution.

How we safeguard quality
Supplier selection
We evaluate suppliers on product quality, food safety practices, documentation and reliability before we start working together — and keep evaluating them over time.
Product specifications
Variety, grade, size, packaging, labelling and tolerances are agreed in writing for every order, so supplier and customer work from the same reference.
Quality control
Shipments are checked against the agreed specification. Where needed, inspections or laboratory analyses can be arranged at origin or on arrival.
Traceability
Each lot is linked to its supplier, origin and shipping documents, supporting the one-step-back, one-step-forward traceability required in the EU.
Working within the EU food safety framework
Products imported into the European Union must meet EU food law. We work with our suppliers to make sure every shipment complies with the requirements that apply to it.
- General Food Law (Regulation (EC) No 178/2002), including traceability
- EU limits for pesticide residues and contaminants
- EU marketing standards for fresh fruit and vegetables, where applicable
- Phytosanitary and import requirements for plant products
- Labelling and allergen information requirements
- Cold-chain requirements for fresh and frozen products
Documentation on request
We provide the documentation that applies to each product and shipment, such as product specifications, certificates of origin, phytosanitary certificates and analysis reports where available.
Where our suppliers hold recognised food safety or quality certifications, copies can be shared on request for the specific product and supplier concerned.
HARVORIA only publishes certifications that have been verified. This section will be updated as certifications are confirmed.
